Act 250 applications:
One application was reviewed (Jeff and Karen Blow). Decision was made to welcome the project into Williamstown, but add the following: we did have some concerns about the proposal. Our greatest concern was increased unacceptable noise levels. Others concerns included: the limited storage capacity of human waste (one portable toilet), managing a safe and efficient flow of traffic along our roads, and Schedule F, the Certification of the Service and Notice of Application was not signed nor dated by the applicant and we wanted to ensure that the statutory party list was properly distributed .
We also received a letter from Pike Industries, Inc. updating us on a previous Act 250 application on their extraction and reclamation process at the Williamstown Quarry site (overall crushing totals from June 2006 to November 2006 is 68,232. They plan to move onto cell #1 in the spring of 2007.
